Cameras, it was only a matter of time before Cesar picked up a camera of his own in 2017. After marching two summers with Music City and having just aged out, he hopes to lay a solid foundation for the Corps with their first ever Media team during their first year competing in World Class.

Emily got involved with photography in 2007, while focusing on portraiture and landscape photography. She joined the Crossmen team in 2016, and has also spent time volunteering with other groups such as Spirit of Atlanta and Crossmen Winds. Natalie is a California native currently living in Syracuse, New York working as a graphic designer and freelance photographer. The summer of 2015 was the first time she picked up a camera with the intention of taking photos instead of videos, and has since honed in on her photography skills through freelance work with local start-ups, non-profits, and events hosted by Winter Guard International and Drum Corps International. This season is Natalie’s second working with Carolina Crown and will be spending the majority of the season working remotely creating graphics and coordinating social media posts in addition to taking photos and videos when she is able to be on the road with the corps.

Josh Clements

Josh Clements - 21, Greeley, CO

Josh got involved in Photography during high school focusing mainly on landscape and street photography before getting into portraits. He joined the Seattle Cascades Media Team in 2016 and has done additional work for Rise Percussion, the University of Northern Colorado “Pride of the Rockies” Marching Band, as well as several local rock and jazz bands. Josh will be back with The Cadets this summer as they travel out west for the first time since 2011.


Liset Garcia - 20, Chicago, IL

Liset got involved in photography eight years ago shooting mainly nature and street photography as a hobby. She is currently a freelance photographer in the Chicagoland area. She joined Phantom Regiment as a photography intern in 2017 and has done volunteer work for Matrix Percussion as well as Northern Illinois University’s Marching Band. Liset will be touring with Phantom Regiment again this summer as their full time photographer.

Tony Villalobos-May -  21, Fort Collins, CO

Current: Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps - Media Coordinator + Producer

Tony Villalobos May is a photojournalist from Fort Collins, Colorado and currently works with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps and Ascend Performing Arts as a Media Coordinator and producer.

Tony began with the Blue Knights in 2016 as a media intern, and has toured with them for three seasons now, and even had the opportunity to shoot and play in their international trip to Bahrain last spring. Tony has shot drum corps, indoor percussion, guard, and is incredibly excited to work with Humans of Drum Corps this season to continue telling the stories of hard working members in the marching arts.
